Warren Elementary was part of a larger project, which included MSD of Warren Schools. The entire 80,000 sf structure was in need of new brick, windows, doors and ADA compliance. The re-brick of the entire exterior of the building included developing a "new image" for the schools. The existing brick had many different color variations due to additions, and the school system wanted to use "earth tones" for their new image due to the location of being in the middle of farmlands. The installation of pre-finished metal siding and a utility size brick in a multitude of tones helped create the schools "new image". The gymnasinm floor of the elementary school was also in disrepair and needed to be replaced. The gym was used for not only basketball, but a wide variety of sports, so the floor was replaced with a rubberized type of material which would provide durability and a cushion for the students.
