INVENTREK is the joint operation of the Kokomo and Howard County Economic Development Corporation. The organization was given a former Chrysler factory site that had been cleared of over 800,000 S.F. of antiquated manufacturing space and left 110,000 S.F. office building with parking for 800 cars. The leaders of the organization commissioned Prince/Alexander to develop a master plan that created a new “technology campus” image and anticipated a variety of new user groups, including a hotel/conference center and a block of senior housing. Since the completion of the master plan in 2007, the main building has achieved 100% occupancy and a new tenant has committed to a 100,000 S.F. proposed building.
