Clinic renovations (1992 - $400,000). Prince/Alexander was hired along with the consulting firm Delloitle and Touche to work through a staffing efficiency analysis with the goal of reducing personnel costs for merger preparations. As a result of considering patient process realignment, customer service and patient accounting procedures that were accommodated with floor plan changes and work space reconfiguring. We were able to accommodate a 15% reduction in workforce requirements. The interior design and construction improvements were also implemented to reduce maintenance costs, improve security and speed patient flow. The two floors of the building regularly handled 60,000 patients per year and many patients came to the office with one or more family members, so the waiting rooms and check in/out procedures had to work efficiently and soothe patients.
