This project consisted of a historical renovation of the old courthouse and a new jail addition. The renovation of the old courthouse was approximately 21,000 ft2, while the new addition was 3 floors and 7,800 ft2. Total project cost came in at $1 million. Benton County's Judicial System is now complete with a new HVAC system, ADA compliant restrooms and elevator, along with a new Mayor's Office and Commissioner's Office. One challenge was to match the new jail addition with the historical aesthetic of the existing courthouse.
